Barnaby Bear - mine disposal expert, and Class 3 training to be 'Merry Men'

Excitement on Sark this week as 72 landmines left over from World War II were discovered in a field near some houses.

On Saturday 15th the island was rocked by several controlled explosions as the bombs were disposed of. Sark's school's very own Connor - with the assistance of a very curious Barnaby Bear - were on hand to help detonate a couple of the mines.

On Tuesday November 18th Class 3 were lucky enough to practise some archery on the Millenium field.

The afternoon tied in with their studies as they're learning about the Legendary Robin Hood in English, while they're delving into Europe's Medieval past in history.
