Meet our small team of dedicated professionals. We have a wealth of experience at both primary and secondary level and are committed to delivering a bespoke academic curriculum that brings out the very best in all our students.

Mr. Nick Wolfe
Acting Head of School
Seniors Teacher
Mr Wolfe moved to Sark in the summer of 2018 from London, joining a brand new team as a class teacher. He has taken many of Sark School's children through their different year groups and has so far enjoyed every minute of working with such a bright and enthusiastic group of young people. He was appointed Acting Head of School for the start of the 2021/22 academic year. As an educator, he is passionate about ensuring that all children in his care are challenged daily and he takes pride in the knowledge that his work is to inspire young people to want to carry on learning throughout their lives. Before moving to Sark, Mr Wolfe taught in schools in different parts of London (his hometown) and had a four year stint working in a big international school in Beijing between 2012 and 2016. This is his fifteenth year of teaching. In his spare time he enjoys cooking (and eating), reading his favourite newspapers and books and cheering on his favourite football team, Tottenham Hotspur - although he will no doubt readily admit that this can often be far from enjoyable.

Miss Emily Starkie
Juniors Teacher
Miss Starkie is new to Sark School this year, having previously taught in Norfolk and Suffolk. Before becoming a teacher, Miss Starkie worked as an archaeologist and as a civil servant, where a big part of her job was making maps. She is passionate about history and archaeology, and loves to learn more about these topics in her spare time, alongside reading anything she can get her hands on! She trained as a primary teacher with a specialism in Modern Foreign Languages, and is looking forward to teaching French across the school this year.

Ms Emma Galley
Infants Teacher
Emma joined us from London in May 2021 and has settled into Sark life very well. She has been teaching in the capital for 17 years and has over 10 years experience working with pupils with additional needs. Emma prides herself on ensuring she does the best by each individual child and was very impressed with the enriched curriculum at Sark School as she is passionate about developing both academic and life long vocational skills and interests in pupils. Being a Mum of 2, Emma says she has little spare time but when she can enjoys walking, yoga / boxercise and board games.
