Meet our small team of dedicated professionals. We have a wealth of experience at both primary and secondary level and are committed to delivering a bespoke academic curriculum that brings out the very best in all our students.
Dr Nicholas Roberts
Head of School
Class Two Teacher
Both Dr and Mrs Roberts regularly holidayed on Sark before Dr Roberts joined Sark School in September 2019. Prior to coming on-island, Dr Roberts worked as an Assistant Head and also as Head of Modern Foreign Languages at a school in Surrey, and also taught French at Newcastle University. In his spare time, Dr Roberts likes long-distance running (though he mainly shuffles rather than runs!) and recently completed a 100-mile run along The South Days Way in 2019.
Mr Nick Wolfe
Class Three Teacher
Mr Wolfe has been teaching for thirteen years now and has worked in schools in London, Beijing and now Sark. During his time in China, he travelled all over Asia and he still likes to learn about how different people from all around the world like to live. He is an avid reader who enjoys thrillers, books on science and history and his favourite newspapers. In his spare time, he also likes to cook and is not afraid to try new things in the kitchen, the spicier the better.
Mrs Jo Branson
Class One Teacher
Designated Safeguarding Lead
Mrs Branson has been with us since August 2020 and has settled very happily into life on Sark, with her two daughters, her husband and her cat Ginny. She is an avid singer, reader, baker and shoe designer in her spare time and is often found listening to audio books, covered in paint from ongoing projects. She is also an Amateur Dramatics enthusiast and will, quite happily, spend many an hour directing, singing or acting. Mrs Branson has been teaching for over eleven years now and has experience throughout the whole of the primary school years.
Mrs Cathy Roberts
Cover and Relief Teacher
Mrs Roberts joined Sark School in September 2019. She has over 13 years experience as a primary school teacher and has taught a variety of primary and lower KS3 year groups during her teaching career, though she is primarily an EYFS and KS1 specialist. Most recently, Mrs Roberts worked as the Reception teacher, an assistant houseparent and as Head of the EYFS in a UK prep school. Mrs Roberts comes into all three of our school's classes to provide cover and relief as required but she is more often spotted walking her dog, Sid, around the island.
Ms Zoe Adams
Zoe joined the staff at Sark School in January 2019. Prior to that she was the Board member in charge of Enrichment on the Interim Board of Education. Alongside her work at the school, she also runs her own B&B and works on her Aunt’s property, doing all sorts of DIY, gardening and general maintenance. When not in school, she enjoys organising jumble sales, reading and spending time with her lovely son, Louie.
Miss Charlie Jones
MDSA & Intervention Support
Miss Jones has lived on Sark since 2014. Miss Jones has a passion for the outdoor and, in her spare time, loves making the most of Sark's idyllic landscape and also working with horses.
